Long Staff Bo Spiral

The Long Staff Bo is known in Chinese and Japanese martial arts, it is used in partner training and for exercising forms. Long staffs were originally put to use by Shaolin monks and farmers who weren’t allowed to carry arms. In the Western world they became popular with the fame of martial arts movies. Today also many fitness freaks have discovered the advantages this art of movement provides and practice elaborated twirling techniques.

The usage of the Bo Long Staff is taught in Chinese Kung Fu as well as in Japanese styles like Karate, Kobudo or Aikido.
